Conseils de nos experts :
A little hawk has the super personality, curious, observer, peaceful, in addition to being very beautiful! With its beautiful bright red color (this is one of the only fish from the reef in this color) it stands out in the aquarium. It has only one defect, some specimens (not all!) Will hunt the shrimp (Thor and small species, the smallest lysmata also). Aside from that, he is completely peaceful and will not bother the other fish. Its favorite location, like all hawk fish, is a protected place but a little overhanging, on which it will post to observe its environment. Very mobile eyes, he seems to follow the evolutions of his roommates, and the outside of the bac with the greatest attentions.
Easy to acclimatize and feed, it is an ideal aquarium fish in 150 liters approximately, because it is a poor swimmer that does not require a lot of space. Good eater, he will not refuse the thawed meat prey (chopped Krill, Mysis, Artemias) and the pellets after some time of adaptation. It is not very sensitive to diseases, and robust. His life expectancy is ten years.
It is better to keep it alone, unless you can find an established pair, because this gonochoric fish does not support the presence of other individuals of the same sex, and the battles will go to death in a captive environment.
